F&C picks De Wit to head fixed income

F&C Asset Management head of fixed income Helene Williamson has moved to become head of emerging market debt.

She will help with the launch of absolute-return bond funds and focus on investment management.

Jacob de Wit will re-place Williamson as head of fixed income. He joins from Netherlands company SNS Asset Management, where he was managing director. De Wit will move to London, joining F&C’s executive management committee. F&C Asset Management deputy chief executive Alain Grisay says: “When we were considering candidates for this senior role, we felt that it was essential to find an individual with experience of working for a multi-national and a track record of managing a team across multiple locations. Jacob has exactly the qualities we were looking for.”

No changes to the team structure or process will take place as a result of these appointments.
