F&C boosts sales team

F&C has appointed Liz Ewart as sales director, investment funds.

Ewart, who currently works for MLC Investment Management as a business development manager, has worked in the retail sales market since 1993 when she joined Schroder Unit Trusts. Since that time she has worked for large investment houses including Aberdeen Asset Management and Williams de Broe.

She is set to join F&C at the end of August and will be responsible for developing F&C’s intermediary and discretionary client proposition across the North of England. She will report directly to director, intermediary sales Martin Moore.

Alison O’Connell is stepping down as director of the Pensions Policy Institute to research retirement and pension policy on a freelance basis. She remains a governor of the PPI. Niki Cleal, who had been secon-ded to HBOS, replaces O’Connell as director.
