Families unaware of CTFs

Two out of three families do not know about child trust funds, a survey from the AITC reveals.

The research carried out by the trade body showed that 62 per cent of families were unaware of child trust funds.

Awareness was particularly poor among low-income families, with just 30 per cent aware of the scheme compared with 45 per cent of more wealthy families.

Communications director Annabel Brodie-Smith says: “There is certainly an important educational role and the Government and the industry need to work together on this.”
