The Exchange has relaunched its Exweb portal in a bid to bring it more in line with IFAs' requirements on researching, quoting and buying products electronically.
The new look is based on feedback from IFAs. Part of the redesign includes the creation of a new research centre, which provides a single access point to a range of research services.
The new services include revised product databanks covering a wider product range, an enhanced annuity quote service that generates client-specific quotes, as well as easier access to providers' product literature.
Chief operating officer David Child says: “Our intention with Exweb is to develop a fully transactional trading platform that links intermediaries with product providers to enable electronic research, quotations and transactions of financial products. The launch of the research centre and the new look and feel are important steps in this process.”
