Ex-Whitechurch MD Ian McIver joins IFA Compliance

Former Whitechurch Network managing director Ian McIver has been appointed as managing director of support firm IFA Compliance.

McIver quit Whitechurch last month after its parent company On-Line Partnership Group was taken over by Russell Investments.

He has also been appointed a director of adviser firm Nexus.

IFA Compliance is owned by Charlie Palmer who also owns network Financial Ltd.

McIver says: “Post-RDR world,  some advisers no longer see the network model as something they need or indeed want due to the strong controls being put in place over them by the FCA.”

Palmer says: “IFA Compliance have been in the market for over a decade. However as the appetite for being directly authorised increases and the compliance support service demand grows, Ian McIver was a fantastic choice of partner, given his market knowledge and experience.”
