He will also act as an adviser to the firm, which was founded by ex-Skandia colleague Spike Hughes and Dragons’ Den star and entrepreneur James Caan last year.
Roberts has spent 35 years in the industry, including 26 years at Skandia. He was also involved in setting up Skandia Investment Management in 2002, chairing the company at launch and seeing the business grow its assets to £5.5bn.
