Santander Asset Management has appointed ex-Schroders head of UK and European fixed credit Adam Cordery as its global head of European fixed income.
Cordery will be responsible for Santander’s European fixed income and credit teams which currently run £11.1bn of assets.
Before leaving Schroders in July, Cordery was manager of the offshore Schroder ISF Euro Corporate Bond, the onshore Schroder Monthly High Income, Schroder Corporate Bond, Schroder All Maturities Corporate Bond and Schroder Long Dated Corporate Bond fund.
Before joining Schroders in 2004, Cordery was head of European high yield at Invesco, where he worked for four years.
Cordery’s new role will be based in London.
