Former Royal London director Andy Peters is to join Apfa to provide support on member recruitment and relationship management.
He will work with the trade body while Apfa membership and marketing director Sophie Fiori is on maternity leave.
Peters has worked for Royal London for 15 years, and was one of the founding directors of its protection division Bright Grey. Most recently he was national partnerships director at Royal London.
Apfa director general Chris Hannant says: “We welcome Andy to Apfa; his years of experience, network and knowledge will be valuable in developing relationships with the membership. We also wish Sophie all the very best with the new addition to her family.”
Peters says: “I’ve had a long relationship with the team at Apfa and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work with them. I’m a huge believer in the advisory profession and have worked closely with advisers throughout my career.”
