Former Royal London intermediary chief executive Hugh McKee has joined Just Retirement as managing director of its life insurance business.
The firm has also appointed Paul Turner as group director, business development. Turner was previously a director in reinsurer Swiss Re’s global division.
Both roles report to Just Retirement Group chief executive Rodney Cook and are members of the executive committee.
Just Retirement group external affairs director Stephen Lowe says: “These are new positions which have been created as a result of changes to responsibilities within the group and which we have been considering for some time.”
Just Retirement’s life business was previously run by its group executives, headed up by Cook.
Lowe says: “This will allow Cook and other members of the executive team to focus more on group capacity.”
Prior to working for Royal London, McKee was head of UK new business at Resolution and at-retirement director at Prudential.
