City mortgage brokerage Capital Fortune has appointed former Pink Home Loans chief executive Barry Meeks as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Meeks has more than 30 years’ experience managing lenders, brokers and support services firms and is being hired to drive growth at the firm.
For the past four years, he has worked as Home and Savings Bank chief operating officer where he has been involved in raising private equity for its launch.
Home & Savings Bank first applied for FSA approval in 2009 and is aiming to launch later this year.
He also serves as a non-executive director with Vertex Mortgage Services and The Tenet Group.
Capital Fortune managing director Rob Killeen says: “Barry is a valuable addition to the team during our period of rapid growth.
“He has a proven track record in financial services and is commercially respected in the industry. Barry brings his strong focus on corporate governance and astute business acumen. He will provide the necessary structure to balance our further growth with enhanced quality and our first class customer service.”
Meeks says: “It is a very exciting time for Capital Fortune as it continues to widen its service offering. The company has a strong existing client base and a proven ability to deliver quality whilst achieving high levels of customer service.
“I have known the team from my time as chief executive at Pink Home Loans when they were our top adviser winning overall broker of the year.”
