Ex Origen boss Mike Kirsch to head up Saffron Building Society

Former Origen chief executive Mike Kirsch has been appointed interim chief executive of Saffron Building Society.

Kirsch quit Aegon-owned Origen in September 2013. He has previously held chief executive roles at Alico UK and Chase de Vere.

Saffron Building Society chairman Geoffrey Dunn says: “I would like to extend a warm welcome to Mike on behalf of the society.

“I know that Mike’s board-level and financial services experience will stand him in good stead and enable the Saffron to continue to build on its excellent progress to date. My colleagues and I look forward to working with Mike over the coming months.”

Kirsch says: “The Saffron has a strong reputation as one of the UK’s leading regional building societies and I’m delighted to be joining them at such an interesting time in their development.

“I have no doubt that the society will continue to build on its impressive track record and I’m looking forward to being part of such a successful team.”
