The Rt Hon the Lord Blunkett of Brightside and Hillsborough will deliver the keynote presentation to close Money Marketing Interactive in April.
The flagship conference, which also features leading figures from the FCA and Financial Ombudsman Service alongside top financial planning talent like Ovation’s Chris Budd, will be topped off by Blunkett, who served as both home and pensions secretary under Tony Blair’s government.
In a political career spanning three decades, Blunkett held four cabinet positions, starting as health secretary, then education secretary, before taking on the home office and pensions briefs.
Born in a deprived area of Sheffield, he is known for reaching some of the highest offices in the land despite being blind from birth, and remains an ardent disability rights campaigner.
At Money Marketing Interactive – which takes place just days after the scheduled Brexit date – the timing is perfect for Blunkett to give an up-to-the-minute insight of the recent wranglings at Westminster and what leaving the EU means for businesses and markets.
Don’t miss this chance to hear one of UK politics’ most seasoned veterans discuss the road forward and how advisers can deal with the uncertainty our current legislative landscape creates.
