Ex-Fidelity director Peter Hicks sets up advice firm

Former Fidelity Worldwide Investment product director for UK equities Peter Hicks has set up an advice firm.

According to the FSA register, he has set up Peter Hicks Financial Advisers based in Maidstone, Kent. His LinkedIn profile says he has been a director at the firm since March.

Hicks, who joined Fidelity in 2003, left the firm last July and has since qualified as an adviser.

Before joining Fidelity, he was Framlington Unit Management sales director from 1993 until 2001 and Axa Equ-ity and Law investment specialist from 1991 to 1993.
Informed Choice managing director Martin Bamford says: “Hicks has always struck me as someone who really understands the advice market and he has seen a lot of different business models.

“When you set up an advice firm from such a vantage point, you are in a real position of strength from all that experience of dealing with the market.”

Hicks declined to comment at this time.
