Ex-Coutts chief joins Gartmore

Gartmore Investment Management has appointed Glyn Jones as chief executive to take over from chairman Paul Myners, who previously held both positions.

Jones was chief executive of Coutts Group until June and was originally recruited to the NatWest Group by Myners during his former role as NatWest Wealth Management chief executive.

Myners says Jones&#39 style of management will fit in well with the investment managers&#39 culture as he is well known to many of the senior executives at Gartmore.

Jones says: “I am confident my experience in wealth management businesses combined with the strong team at Gartmore will prove to be a winning combination.”
