Ex-Cofunds chief Brett Williams joins Insynergy

Former Cofunds chief executive Brett Williams has joined investment boutique Insynergy Investment Management as a non-executive director.

Williams is acquiring a shareholding in the business and will work alongside non-executive chairman James Caan and founder and chief executive officer Spike Hughes.

In addition to be being the former chief executive at Cofunds, Williams has also been chief executive at Selestia and took on the chief executive duties for the Skandia and Selestia platforms when they were merged following the acquisition of Skandia by Old Mutual in 2006.

Hughes says: “Brett has unparalleled experience in building and managing world-class distributor platforms.  In guiding the Selestia, Skandia and Cofunds platforms to their market-leading positions, Brett has demonstrated exceptional management skills and a deep understanding of the evolving IFA distribution model.

Williams says: “In a rapidly changing investment and distribution landscape I believe Insynergy to be extremely well placed to bring a fresh and modern approach to fund management.”
