Everyone&#39s a winner

The Diary was taken aback on receiving a video of West Midlands mortgage broker Black & White&#39s Christmas party and approached a viewing with some trepidation.

A set from Wolverhampton soul diva Beverley Knight unsurprisingly outshone boozed-up mortgage broker karaoke versions of American Pie, My Guy and Wonderwall but most of the video consisted of scores of brokers standing on a podium and receiving awards.

The reason for this is that all the company&#39s brokers are winners – something B&W chairman Chris Ollerenshaw demonstrated with David Brent-like effect by repeatedly making a W and L shape on his head and shouting Winners (B&W) and Losers (the rest).
