Evershed leaves New Star

New Star fund manager Patrick Evershed has left the firm after six years.

Evershed has managed the £60m select opportunities fund since its launch in May 2002. The fund will now pass to Trevor Green.

The select opportunities fund has endured a difficult time in the past three years having lost 31.9 per cent and sitting in the bottom quartile of the UK all-companies sector.

Green joined New Star earlier this year from Allianz, he has already taken on Toby Thompson’s equity portion of the managed distribution fund in June.
