ETF Securities hires chief exec for ETF Exchange

ETF Securities has appointed Mark Weeks as chief executive of its ETF platform, ETF Exchange.

Weeks will be responsible for driving the ETF exchange strategy, business development and co-ordinating with all parties involved.

He joins from UBS where he ran the securities lending franchise in Zurich.

ETF Securities is a provider of exchange traded commodities and exchange traded funds with assets under management totalling £7.3bn, up over 100 per cent since November 2008.

ETF Securities chairman Graham Tuckwell says: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of someone of Mark’s calibre and experience. He brings a wealth of experience to the business and brings an important to new dimension to our team with his expertise in the field of securities finance.”
