Esure to launch motor insurance line

Halifax&#39s Esure insurance subsidiary is launching its motor insurance line with the opening of a Glasgow office employing 400 new staff.

Esure, headed by Direct Line founder Peter Wood, will launch its telephone based motor insurance sales service in September, with an internet sales platform to go live in the last quarter of 2001.

Executive chairman Peter Wood says: “Esure will offer consumers a very exciting multi-channel insurance service and we expect to have a major impact in the marketplace.”
