London IFA Equal Partners is looking to recruit two more IFAs due to rapid client growth.It wants to encourage women into the firm and it is seeing a lot of referrals bringing in female clients. Managing director Vivienne Starkey believes women should not be set apart from men in the adviser community but understands that women often prefer to deal with female advisers. Director Kevin Tooze says the firm is seeing a large amount of business being written in pensions and divorce, the firm is seeing a lot of female clients referrals. Equal Partners will remain at its current offices in the City of London. Tooze says: “We aim to manage the growth slowly, organ- ically, and profitably, wanting to remain successful and not buying into the “burn and churn” ethic that we have seen from some IFAs, growing at such a rate that it appears they are on steroids.”
