English Mutual rebranded under Sanlam banner

English Mutual has been renamed under the Sanlam banner following a rebranding exercise.

The business was acquired by Sanlam in 2012 and, as of today, it will trade as Sanlam.

Sanlam Life and Pensions and Sanlam Wealth Planning are also being rebranded under the Sanlam title in an effort to consolidate the firm’s branding.

The move will see around 100 advisers brought together to trade under the Sanlam brand.

UK chief executive Lukas van der Walt says: “Whilst there will be some differences in the way Sanlam “looks and feels” under our refreshed brand, we remain committed to building a market leading wealth management business in the UK.

“The creation of a unified brand culture will greatly facilitate our growth plans and give financial professionals and consumers alike a clear understanding of our offering and our intentions. Sanlam has an active recruitment programme in place and alongside the global changes to our brand we look forward with confidence to the year ahead.”
