Eight fund firms on short list for platform award

Eight fund management companies have been shortlisted for Adnitor’s UK Platform Awards.

The nominees are Artemis, Close Asset Management, Fidelity, Investec, JP Morgan, New Star, Resolution and Schroders.

Adnitor says as fund management and investment products are at the heart of the financial services industry, the leading innovation by an asset manager award has a special place at the platform awards.

The panel of judges will consist of Adnitor chief executive Karen Forrest, Investment Management Association chief executive Dick Saunders, Institute of Financial Planning chief executive Nick Cann and Pima chairman John Brasington.

Other judges include The Money Portal chief operating officer Andrew Firth, Investment Management Selection managing director Anthony John, Holtons managing director Mark Campbell and Money Marketing editor John Lappin.

The shortlist for the discretionary platform service award comprises Insinger de Beaufort, Charles Stanley & Co, Tilney Investment Management, Rathbone Brothers, Rensburg Sheppards, 7IM and UBS Wealth Management.

An Adnitor spokesman says: “The award in particular recognises the innovation these organisations have demonstrated in their understanding of these changes taking place in the asset management marketplace and their commitment to adapt to their clients’ changing needs and the demands of the market.”
