Edinburgh Fund Managers&#39

Edinburgh Fund Managers&#39 Edinburgh global growth portfolio is a unit trust that aims to achieve long-term capital growth.

Global growth invests in an initial spread of 20 unit trusts and open ended investment companies (Oeics). A maximum of two will be internal Edinburgh funds, with the rest from companies such as Framlington, SocGen, Sarasin and Schroder.

The introduction of global growth expands the number of Oeics the company offers to 16, ranging from UK income to North American to Asian. It is however, the first Edinburgh fund managers Oeic to break into the global growth sector.

According to Standard & Poor&#39s the Edinburgh global equity fund is ranked 38 out of 125 funds, based on £1,000 invested on a bid-to-bid basis with net income reinvested over three years to November 6, 2000.
