Economic growth set to beat 2.5% forecast

UK economic growth in 2006 is expected to exceed the forecast of 2.5 per cent increase, says the Chancellor. He said it is more likely to be 2.75 per cent and rise to between 2.75 per cent and 3.25 per cent in 2007.
