Dunbar mortgage advisers link with dotcom

Allied Dunbar&#39s network of mortgage advisers has linked up with a new information-only mortgage dotcom.

The site bills itself as an “online gateway to the world of mortgage advice and selection”. offers general information about mortgages but any specific advice is given face-to-face with a Dunbar mortgage adviser who has access to an extensive panel of lenders.

The site is based on the belief that mortgages should not be sold online and that proper advice is best given in a face-to-face situation.

Visitors to the site can fill out an enquiry form. Letstalkmortgages then gets in touch and offers them a meeting with an adviser in their home.

Dunbar&#39s 5,000-strong mortgage adviser network covers the whole of the UK.

Letstalkmortgages director Roger Leek says: “The web is a powerful method of accessing our service. However, to ensure customers obtain the right mortgage for their financial circumstances, they should not restrict themselves to the limited choice that can be catered for online.

“In our opinion, online mortgage services do not work.”
