Downing Corporate Finance – Absolute Income VCT 2

Type: Venture capital trust

Aim: Income and growth by investing initially in cash, then in secured loans and/or fixed income securities and unquoted UK companies

Minimum investment: Lump sum £5,000

Charges: Initial 5.5%, annual 1.8%, performance fee from year six of  up to 1p for each share each year, plus up to 1p for each share for previous years where no performance fee has been paid

Special offer: 2% of the amount invested in extra shares for Downing VCT shareholders, 1% for all other investors

Offer period: Until February 12, 2010

Closing date: April 5, 2010 for 2009/10 tax year, April 30, 2010 for 2010/11 tax year

Commission: Initial 3% or initial 2% plus renewal 0.5%
