Divorce route for Equitable annuitants

Getting divorced could be the only escape route for Equitable Life

annuitants, according to The Annuity Bureau. The specialist IFA says using

divorce legislation, which came into force last December, it is

theoretically possible that a with-profits annuity holder&#39s pension could

be transferred from Equitable as pension-sharing legislation allows a

percentage of one person&#39s pension fund to be transferred to a spouse,

effectively providing two separate funds.

Value remains within European equities

By Rob Burnett, Neptune European Opportunities Fund
