Distribution Technology adds risk profiling tool

Distribution Technology is introducing a stand-alone risk profiling tool, Dynamic Risk Profiler, which will also work alongside wraps and platforms.

DT has commercial agreements in place with Threesixty services, Lighthouse Group and Paradigm to supply the tool to their advisers.

Dynamic Risk Profiler is a web-based risk profiling tool, based on research by the Psychometric Centre, which enables advisers to analyse client attitude to risk using psychometric questioning. It also provides a view of the consequences of their decisions by generating expected gains and losses.

The tool is fully compliant, with a permanent record added to the client’s file. It can also be adopted into the platform or wrap service used by the adviser.

DT’s adviser research centre, at dynamicplanner.com, was launched this month to offer intermediaries access to the suite of tools and receive support and training.

Chief executive Ben Goss says: “Distribution Technology is delighted to be able to support IFA firms in this fashion, especially such key firms as Paradigm, Threesixty and LighthouseGroup.

“We believe that Dynamic Risk Profiler offers firms, advisers and their clients significant benefits in the key area of establishing and documenting clients’ attitude to risk.”
