Developing professional connections

For many years the IFA market has developed strong links with other professionals, in particular accountants and solicitors, The attractions of introductions received form these professions are obvious:

  • Clients tend to be good quality
  • Your advice is effectively ‘endorsed’
  • The IFA/professional connection combination is appreciated by clients
  • Tax planning is linked with quality advice on pensions, investments etc.

  • As stakeholder pensions will need to be considered by most employers in the UK, it will be of particular importance to professionals such as accountants and solicitors who act on behalf of those employers.

In addition, not only will solicitors and accountants be introducers of new clients, they could also be clients themselves as they will also need to consider what actions they need to take as employers to satisfy the stakeholder requirements.

A range of support material has been specifically designed with professional connections in mind. See the section IFA support for more details.
