Derby kicks off with Bank of Scotland loans

Derby County Football Club is aiming to score in financial services with the launch of a range of new products.

The Premier League club is preparing to launch unsecured loans backed by the Bank of Scotland in association with marketing company TransNational.

The club has also recently relaunched an affinity cre dit card through TransNational.

Derby&#39s business development manager Richard Clifford says these moves will be followed up by further launches, including mortgages, subject to board approval.

Clifford adds that future seasons could see the launch of life and pension products as well as an Individual Savings Account. "We are aiming to get the best deal possible for our supporters and the club," he says.

Sausmarez made MD of Colonial Investments

Colonial Investments, the London fund management arm of Colonial Investment Management, has appointed James de Sausmarez as managing director. Sausmarez was previously retail managing director at Henderson Investors. He will report directly to CIM managing director Peter Polson.
