Death of Peter Hall

Financial marketing consultant Peter Hall has died of a heart attack at 49.

Hall was an established City figure, having been instrumental in

introducing Baring Asset Management to the IFA market in 1984. He also

worked for Save & Prosper. He most recently worked for Portfin, an online

facilities provider for financial institutions.

For five years in the mid-1990s, Hall worked as a consultant for smaller

unit trust firms which did not have their own in-house marketing.

Well known for his annual Christmas parties and fishing trips, Hall was

respected in the finance community. He was very sociable and was a larger

than life character. He is survived by his wife, Joanna, and a son from a

previous marriage.
