DBS sets up affinity division

IFA network DBS has set up a new affinity sales division to help members generate business with companies, trade unions, professional institutions and other big organisations.

The service is headed by newly appointed affinity sales manager Paul Reed, who was previously a marketing res-earch consultant and gained experience of the IFA market while working at Nationwide Building Society.

Part of his role will be to talk to UK organisations about the advantages of independent financial advice. For a charge, members can join the affinity club and attend regional meetings with Reed to discuss how to target organisations.

DBS says the national coverage of its membership means it is well placed to give advice to organisations wherever the company or its subsidiaries are based.

One of Reed&#39s first tasks is managing the network&#39s personal finance TV series Simply Money From DBS, being broadcast during the autumn on Sky Digital&#39s Simply Shopping channel.

Reed says: “I am looking forward to helping members develop their business through establishing relationships with affinity groups.”
