Dawson to step down at Mortgage Express

Mortgage Express has announced that Tim Dawson will retire as managing director later this year.

Dawson will stand down from the Bradford & Bingley-owned firm on March 31 but he will not be replaced.

Instead, the current management team will report to B&Bs board lending director Chris Gillespie.

Dawson says: Over the last 16 years I have worked with my management team to build Mortgage Express into the leader position it enjoys in todays specialist lending market.

Having achieved this success I feel that now is an appropriate time to step down and let someone else lead the company through its next stage of development.

B&B chief executive Steven Crawshaw adds: Tim has done a splendid job, adding a huge amount of value to both Mortgage Express and Bradford & Bingley. We wish him a well-earned and fruitful retirement.
