The National Association of Pensions Funds is aiming to explore the theme of “securing the future” at this autumn's conference.
The event will be held at London's Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre on November 23 and will feature a keynote speech by FSA chairman How-ard Davies.
Davies will look at the main conference theme of how greater flexibility between work and retirement has caused an environment for change.
Other speakers will cover a wide variety of topics, including good administration and whether outsourcing by pension departments means a loss of control, plus the admin challenges facing smaller schemes.
The event will also look at the pros and cons of the different asset classes available to pension funds, including corporate bonds, property and hedge funds.
There will also be panel discussions and an exhibition featuring organisations related to the occupational pensions movement.
Exhibitors will include the Association of Corporate Treasurers which will talk with delegates on the role of treasurers and other issues such as issuing debt and equity. Also present will be Help the Aged, Opra and the Employers' Forum on Age.
NAPF chairman Alan Pickering says: “Many aspects of pension scheme administration will be looked at from both large and small company perspectives. A wide diversity of speakers will put the spotlight on trusteeship now and in the future.”
