Darlington fixes bond rate

Darlington Building Society is offering a fixed-rate investment bond which


guarantees rates for one year.


Individuals can invest £2,000-£40,000 or up to £80,000 for joint accounts.


The interest rates inc rease depending on the size of the investment. If


more than £25,000 is invested, Darlington offers a one-year fixed rate of


7.1 per cent. For smaller investments, the interest begins from 6.75 per


cent annually or 6.5 per cent monthly.


The bond is available nationally for investments of £10,000 or more.


There are no partial withdrawals allowed during the fixed period.
