Darlington Building Society takes £207m of new business

Darlington Building Society too a record £207m from savers and borrowers in 1998.


The number of savings and borrowers account holders increased by 6 per cent to 103,280 and total assets under management grew by 8.5 per cent to £367m.


Pre-tax profit was up 11.3 per cent to £3.1m.
