Cutting edge of Scots art

Invitees to Standard Life Investment&#39s private view at a contemporary Scottish art exhibition last week were left choking on their canapés, the Diary learns.

The Braveart exhibition, at the SLI-owned Whiteley&#39s Shopping Centre, featured a video of an artist mutilating herself with razorblades.

How this caused such consternation is a surprise to the Diary, who understands that such activity has been all the range among fund managers after years of mundane performance.

We cannot bring you video through the printed page but here is a piece called Inventory from Edinburgh College of Art alumni Jock Mooney (right).
