Credit Suisse’s Toby Hogbin to join Martin Currie

Former Credit Suisse director of product development Toby Martin is joining Currie as global head of product development.

He will join in early May, having been at Credit Suisse Asset Management since 2002.

Prior to Credit Suisse he was at SLC Asset Management before its takeover by Credit Suisse and worked for Equitable Life for almost 10 years before that.
Hogbin will take responsibility for Martin Currie’s ongoing development and implementation of the product management strategy and will report to managing director of marketing, distribution and product development Andy Sowerby.

He says: “I am delighted at the opportunity to join Martin Currie. I have had a hugely enjoyable time at Credit Suisse and leave it with my best wishes for its future success.
“I believe that Martin Currie offers me the right challenge for the next stage of my career. The business has a great reputation, is strongly managed and is well positioned to take advantage of the many developing opportunities in the markets it focuses on. I greatly look forward to helping with that.”
Sowerby says: “We are delighted to get Toby to Martin Currie. He is someone with a terrific career history to date and has a great reputation within the industry. He has many strong qualities which will I am sure enable him to flourish and deliver great value with Martin Currie.”
