Crawshaw says growth is priority at B&B Aldridge moves to Gartmore

Former Cofunds sales and marketing director Rod Aldridge is joining Gartmore as head of IFA sales, with responsibility for the IFA and the fund of fund sales teams.

Piers Denne, who developed the strategic and tactical delivery for the IFA sales team, is leaving Gartmore.

Aldridge left Cofunds at the end of January after three years in the role, during which he established Cofunds&#39 sales proposition and helped bring in more than £1.5bn of assets. He previously worked as investment sales director at Threadneedle and head of UK sales at Rothschild Asset Management.

Gartmore head of UK retail Paul Feeney says: “Over the last year, Gartmore has won a number of major mandates through strategic partnerships. We now recognise that there is a vast opportunity open to us to further our position with a number of larger strategic partners in this area of the market. I believe that Rod, with his experience and excellent industry relationships, will make a significant contribution to taking the UK retail business forward.”
