Cornell is in for Duffy to lead Hamptons’ loan push

Hamptons has picked technical director Jonathan Cornell as managing director of its mortgages division, four months after Kevin Duffy left the broker to join Robert Sterling.

Cornell was favourite to succeed Duffy after he took over the day to day running of Hamptons alongside compliance director Paul Williams, who resigned from the broker last month and is expected to join Duffy at Robert Sterling.

Cornell takes on the role with immediate effect and will focus on growing the division as part of Hamptons’ wider strategic expansion plans.

UK residential agency managing director Mark Anderson says: “Jonathan has made an outstanding contribution to the success of Hamptons’ mortgages division over the years and he has more than earned the opportunity to support and grow the business further.”

Cornell says: “I am deligh-ted to have this opportunity and I look forward to working closely with the estate agency part of the business and building Hamptons mortgages.”
