Conway quits Sesame and looks for new challenge

Sesame head of propositions and commercial development Alastair Conway has left the company.

He says he will take a brief sabbatical before looking for a new role, adding that the time was right to move on.

Sales and marketing director Stephen Young will take on the day-to-day responsibility for propositions until a replacement is found.

Conway says it is an exciting time in financial services and he is eager to pursue something new, potentially in wrap, investment or mortgages.

He says: “With the developments in the wrap and fund management space and the innovation in the mortgage market, this is a more exciting time than has ever been. I also think more advisers ought to be looking at the area of employee benefits as there are huge opportunities.

“I have really enjoyed my time at Sesame and I leave on good terms. I feel that the time is now right for me to move on to a new challenge.”

Young says: “Prior to joining Sesame, Alastair spent many years building a composite insurance and financial services practice and this experience has been very beneficial to Sesame.” Alastair has played a valuable role in helping to dev-elop a range of market-leading propositions.”
