Consumers&#39 Association welcomes Sandler

The Consumers&#39 Association has savaged the financial services industry in its welcome of the publication of the Sandler review of medium and long-term consultation document.

CA head of policy research Michelle Childs says: “The long-term savings industry which funds most pensions and mortgages is in need of an urgent overhaul to transform it into an industry fit for its purpose.”

Childs says: “For too long consumers have had to put up with poor advice, poor products, high charges and incomprehensible language. This review must challenge the existing balance between policyholders and shareholders to make sure that the consumer&#39s interest is put at the heart of the industry.”
