Consumers need lessons on tax affairs according to tax specialists

Taxation specialist i.e.taxguard is calling on the Government to instigate a broad based education programme to help people with their taxes.


It says there is a need for education to prevent millions of people being fined for not properly understanding their tax returns.


Research by the tax specialists found that more than two in five people find their tax affairs confusing while 61 per cent want help to complete their tax returns.


The firms marketing director Mike Crossley says: &#34There is something seriously wrong with the UK tax system when more than 700,000 consumers are fined for missing tax deadlines when, in truth, many find tax matters utterly confusing.&#34
