Collins Stewart launches dedicated treasury function in Jersey

Collins Stewart Wealth Management has launched a dedicated treasury function in Jersey.

Iain MacKenzie joins Collins Stewart with 27 years of treasury and money market experience to head up the new function in the Jersey office alongside the existing fixed income desks. Both desks will provide clients with cash management services and foreign exchange solutions for discretionary and advisory services.

Collins Stewart Wealth Management head Neil Darke says: “Given the current market environment, there has never been a more relevant time to launch a dedicated treasury and cash management function employing specialist expertise. We are delighted to have recruited someone of Iain’s calibre and experience. This further strengthening of our investment team continues our commitment to excellence for all our clients.”

Advisers back short stop

Advisers have welcomed the FSA’s decision to slap a temporary ban on the short-selling of financial stocks due to the extreme market conditions.
