Former St James’s Place divisional director of private clients Colin Jelley has rejoined Skandia as head of wealth planning.

Money Marketing revealed in November that Jelley had left SJP after joining in May 2011 to broaden its service offering for high net worth clients.

Before joining SJP, Jelley worked at Skandia for 17 years in a range of technical and product marketing roles, including head of tax and financial planning.

In his new role as head of wealth planning at Skandia, Jelley will head up a 10-strong team to deliver a range of onshore and offshore financial planning propositions.

Skandia UK sales director Steve Powell says: “Colin has added tremendous value to our business over the years and we are delighted to have him with us again in this new role.”

Plan Money director Peter Chadborn says: “It is one thing for a business to attract an individual like Colin who has the credibility he has, it is quite another to get him back again when he went to check if the grass was greener somewhere else. It is a coup.”
