Former St James’s Place divisional director of private clients Colin Jelley has rejoined Skandia as its head of wealth planning.
Money Marketing revealed in November that Jelley had left SJP after joining in May 2011 to broaden its service offering for high net worth clients.
Before joining SJP Jelley worked at Skandia for 17 years in a range of technical and product marketing roles, including head of tax and financial planning.
In his latest role as head of wealth planning at Skandia, Jelley will head up a 10 strong team to deliver a range of onshore and offshore financial planning propositions.
He will report to Skandia UK sales director Steve Powell.
Jelley is also a member of the UK technical committee of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, which co-ordinates debate on technical and legislative issues affecting clients of the UK trusts and estates profession.
Skandia UK sales director Steve Powell says: “Colin has added tremendous value to our business over the years, and we are delighted to have him with us again in this new role.
“His vast wealth of knowledge and expertise is second to none and his in-depth knowledge of Skandia and our products and services will help him hit the ground running.”
Skandia head of wealth planning Colin Jelley says: “Working closely with advisers and leading a strong team of talented and dedicated experts means we have a real opportunity to raise the bar on the wealth planning expertise we can share with advisers.
“Skandia is an ambitious company with a great culture and I am excited about being part of its future as a wealth solutions business.”
