Cofunds appoints head of strategic development and marketing

Cofunds has appointed Anthony Wolfe from BNP Paribas as head of strategic development and marketing.

Wolfe was responsible for business development at BNP from 1994 to 2005 and joins Cofunds to help the platform evaluate market opportunities and shape its strategic direction. He will also have director responsibility for marketing and fund manager relations.

Wolfe says: From working at BNP Paribas I have watched with interest the job Cofunds has done in establishing its service proposition and its brand. I am excited by the range of opportunities Cofunds has to develop new services for existing clients and to enter new markets.

Head of mortgages and credit unions Andy Watson leaves FSA

The FSA has confirmed the departure of head of mortgages and credit unions Andy Watson from the small firms division. Watson, best known as the FSAs spokesman throughout mortgage regulation and its subsequent investigations will be leaving on January 31. A replacement has yet to be announced. Watson was unavailable for comment.
