Co-op bank rolls out Isas sold at tills UK-wide

The Co-op bank has rolled out a Scottish pilot scheme to sell cash Isas at its tills.


The bank has, for the last few months, been piloting the scheme in the Scottish Co-op stores with customers depositing money in a mini-cash Isa at the till using a special plastic card.


Co-op Bank chief executive Mervyn Pedelty says:”In the first month, the Bank and Co-op stores opened nearly twice as many new Isa accounts than the Bank opened Tessa accounts in the whole of the last tax year.”
