Law firm CMS Cameron McKenna is running a seminar to provide practical advice of PPI in the aftermath of the recent FSA clampdown and OFT ruling.
The seminar, held in London on 1 March, will offer advice on how to structure the PPI sales process to mitigate the risks faced by firms in the current regulatory environment.
It will look at how to handle complaint effectively, how to deal with Financial Ombudsman Service referrals, how to handle the Competition Commission process and how this process could affect the way PPI is sold.
CMS Cameron McKenna partner Paul Edmondson says: “The FSA is likely
to continue to take enforcement action against firms selling PPI for the
rest of this year, but as firms raise their standards and show that they
are selling policies compliantly I expect the rate to reduce significantly.
Our seminar is designed to help firms make sure they understand the issues
and are doing everything possible to avoid falling foul of the law.”
