Clerical Medical publishes new A-day advice

Clerical Medical has published new advice to help IFAs prepare for A-day and the anticipated rush towards contract based group personal pension and stakeholder schemes.

Ninety five per cent of intermediaries highlighted new trustee responsibilities as the main driver for change amongst smaller occupational trust based schemes, according to new research from Clerical Medical.

Clerical Medical has developed support material designed to help employers and trustees identify the impact of changes and consider the options whilst guiding them through the decision making process. The adviser support material includes an occupational scheme review and planning process route map, guidance notes on legislative change and timeline considerations.

This new support forms the basis of a new section, section 12, in the existing Pre A day opportunities business guide. Advisers can download the information from the adviser zone on the Clerical Medical website.
